E39 5 Series BMW Produced from 1997 thru 2003 as: 528i 525i 530i 540i M5
Oil Separator/PCV Valve
This 100% failure rate item and is not always obvious unless your car has “system too lean “codes and burns oil. Every single e46 BMW is going to have this issue and if you haven’t’ replaced it in the last couple of years, it’s better to get it done sooner rather than later, as it is one of the most common causes of death for the M52TU and M54 motors.
Double Vanos Seals
2.5L and 3.0L M52TU and M54 motors are known to wear out Vanos seals prematurely and besides a loud rattle, affect the timing. We have a strong partnership with Beisan Systems, which produces a repair kit well above OE specifications that eliminate this issue for good.
Cooling System Service
Water pump, thermostat, coolant hoses, and overflow tank. An Achilles heel of most BMW motors, cooling systems are notorious for failing and causing severe engine damage. We highly recommend preemptive replacement of critical components in the cooling system before they fail, usually every 4 years or 60K miles.
Valve Cover Gasket
Manifested by the smell of burning oil, this is an easy repair that is often neglected and can cause an engine fire, as the oil drips on the catalytic converters.
Oil Filter Housing Gasket
This 100% failure rate item is not obvious, as most owners can’t see the source of the leak. Every single e46 BMW is going to have this issue and it’s better to get it done sooner rather than later.
Automatic Transmission Service
Lifetime fluid is a myth and any true Bavarian enthusiast knows that transmission fluid and filter need to be changed at least every 60K miles. BMW dealers do not perform this service, ever, so if you are driving a car without evidence that this was done, this is service should be your top priority.
Window Regulators
These are notorious to fail on all E39 cars and we have perfected the replacement with the right OE quality parts are a huge discount.
V8 Timing Chain Guides
Probably the most common cause of death for all M62 V8 motors, this is a rather involved problem that is not to be taken lightly. Manifested by rattling noise in the upper engine, when not addressed, the engine starts eating itself from the inside, causing irrevocable damage. We do this the right way, replacing all the guides and timing chain covers, not leaving any gaskets unattended.
Instrument Cluster and Digital Display Repair
We have many years’ experience rebuilding your clusters from dim lights, failed speedometers, and tachs to pixilation and capacitors.
Control Arms aka Thrust Arms
The four control arms give your BMW the handling it’s known for. However, they wear out prematurely and should be replaced every 60k miles.
Rear Ball Joints
Most people won’t know their rear ball joints have gone bad, until the wheel falls off, literally. This is a critical component in the rear suspension and should be inspected on a regular basis.
